I havent got it for the ps3 mines is for the xbox360 but I got to agree the level of customization in it is way better than GTA I think they could have done a bit more with the range of tattoos avalible and the hairstyles but other than that I think the game is pretty awesome I also traded GTA in to get it lol
I think it is way better than GTA. You can actually make your character your own rather than some random dude that is pregenerated. Yes, the clothes and accessories have something to be desired, however I have not yet discovered ALL the different stores available yet.
Also the option to have friends help you with your story mode is beyond any other game out there.
