What do you think of this poem. It took me nearly 15 hours to write over 3 nights.

They say we take life for granted,
That we just don’t see...
Now I understand what they meant,
Because they showed it to me.

You don’t think of how someone can be...

there,
But it’s like they’re not…
That once something happens to them,
It’s like you’ve been shot.

You go to see them hurting,
As they pretend they’re okay…
It’s hard to understand,
You saw them just the other day.

You try to act tough but realize you can’t,
And that’s what makes you cry…
Those things can sometimes scare you,
You’re scared they might die.

The doctors say they’re fine,
That they’ll make it through…
You just didn’t realize,
What they meant to you!
