couple reasons why it should be legalized:
-will be removed from black market and stop empowering gang members
-medical reasons
-would be sold like alcohol, remember alcohol was once prohibited too (in stores away from children, have to be 21+)
-would be a law that you cant drive while intoxicated on weed
-prison population would lower (prisons are overcrowding with nonviolent offenders)
-keep patients from being convicted
-would provide millions of jobs for people
-would make us an independent country (fuel, etc.., debt free america)

people with an addiction (including hard drugs) shouldnt be thrown in jail, they need help
theres more people in jail with mental illnesses than there are in mental institutions

- the War on Drugs is a failure, its a war on its own people. policies need to be changed
we pay billions in taxpayers money to keep the war going and neither side is winning
thats just a waste of our tax money

well it's kinda legal. you just have to get a license for it. I still dont like it when people use it, but hey at least it's not ex, or glass. could be worse.

my mom is prescribed marijuana by her doctors because she has glaucoma in one her eyes. so she's one of the few people in the US that's allowed to have weed on her at all times lol. and yeah I agree it should be legal for a certain age like alcohol. apparently there's this politician who is trying to pass a law that makes it legal for adults to have 100 grams of marijuana or less.

A certain amount is legal in my province so I cant complain really.

If aspirin is legal, weed should be too. They both can help people medicinally. Whether it's glaucoma, cancers, or something like stress or ADD.

Tobacco and alcohol are legal...they only hurt people.

I think it should be legalized

I dont think it should be legal even though it is in canberra but its such a stupid drug I mean it can make you skitzaphranic (I cant spell it lol) and has many more side effects and turns people into zombie's and dregs.

Beer is worse, cigarrettes do more damage etc. Yet weed remains illegal. Many people seem to have a bad view on it simply because it is classed as a drug that is illegal. They put it in the same class as like cocaine and lsd and stuff. When in fact it isn't harmful.

The only harm that comes from it is the same as if you smoke anything really. Mainly lung cancer. But you smoke many more cigarrettes a day then joints so... Plus there are alternatives to get past the health issue of lung cancer. Hash cakes or vapourizer.

Even looking at the official statistics, one can see that weed accounts for how many death??? 0. None. Zilch. Nada nothing. Aspirin kills more people!!!

So yeah I'm totally for it to becoming legal. I hope it does.
