Just found out that my mom isn't my mom

hi I found out tonight from dad that the lady that I cal mum isnt my mum how do I act towards it now ?

a mom is not only the person who gave birth to you but the person who has been on your side in the good and bad times, the one that has raise you

Thats a very diffucult situation.
The best thing to do,
is sit and converse with your parent about this.
If she's been a good mother overall
and raised you as her child,
I dont see why she is any less than your mother.

first off... besides being shocked, how did you feel when your dad told you the news?... talk the situation over with your dad, while pouring out your feeling towards the situation... and if you're ready for it, ask him about your birth mom =)

as for this lady it's like what mariferr and ana has said... if she's treated you like her own and has always been there for you... I don't see a reason for not accepting her as your own mother... just because she wasn't the one who gave birth to you!! I hope you see past the shock and see the love that they both have for you... I hope things work out for ya

doesnt matter who gave birth to you all that matters is who rased you and loved you all these years just liker ow you call close friends family,,,

She is still your mum isnt she. Just because she may not have given birth to you that doesnt mean she doesnt love you like she did. Think about how your relationship was with her before you found this out and then tell her you love her just the same. She is proberbly thinking what you are thinking.
