What causes me to bruise so easily?

I was wondering if anyone knows what causes me to bruise so easily?

There are people actually worried about me because I bruise so much - I swear my parents think my boyfriend beats me, my boyfriend thinks my parents beat me, it seems like they all...

think SOMEONE is hurting me but nobody beats me. I always have bruises all over my body, especially my legs and arms, even sometimes there are finger prints so it looks like someone actually grabbed me (I think I grab my arms in my sleep which creates those). Yesterday I scratched my arm on the couch somehow, just a tiny mark and how I have about a 2 inch bruise all around it.

Is this some sort of condition?
My parents said I've always been this way (yet they still worry someone beat/grabbed me which makes no sense) and when I was young they thought someone would end up actually calling childrens aide on them because I always had bruises, that's how bad it looks. Thank goodness that never happened though.

Also my dad said my grandma was the same way but he forgets what causes it, anyone know?

maybe a vitimin or mineral difficiency. Have you had a physical lately and had a blood workup...I think you may be low in something. :-)

Get a blood workup...you may be anemic...

Hopefully it's not worse than being anemic. I had a cousin who went through chemotherapy for leukemia. Go to see a doctor asap.

Hey it could be just that you have an extremely low platelet count. (platelets stop the bleeding and bruising) I think you should maybe go to your doctor. It's highly unlikely but unexplained bruising and bleeding is a symptom of leukemia. Hope it's nothing good luck!
