Mother of 4 young children how can you get a break for a few hours?

What can you do when you are a mother of 4 young children and you are at whitts end...you love the kids more than anything in the world and you just need a break...just for a few hours?!! And your mom dislikes children and wont watch em and says just...

sign em over to me if you dont want em...and you sister in law says the same things...you haven't had a baby sitter...ever...and your only friends are the ones you knew before you had kids and are all really immature...and they may not bwe alive when you get back...so thats a no...you live way out in the country and can only meet people that wanna bag on you for needing a break cause we all know to some people every mom should be supper mom...but we all know even super nannies get a break!!! That's why they are still sane!!! Can anyone say help??? I just feel like I can not breathe!! I dont wanna give my kids up!!! Is a few hours alone too much to ask???

They are 5 years 4 years and 2 are 3 years they are twins

do what I do. right after they are asleep. take a magazine or book and fill up the tub. soak and read for about and hour. it will calm you down a lot. and keep in mind, two more years and they will all be in school!

Find some nearby moms that would do the same favor so you can take turns babysitting the kids.

Check craigslist for a babysitter or someone who wants to do a nanny share or something. In this economy, there are a lot of people without jobs who would give anything to give your children some loving attention while you take a break. Even if that means you have to pay a little bit. For that many children and based on their ages, you are looking at a minimum of 10/hr. But if you are only looking for a few hours say once a week or so, 30/week isn't so bad to have some time to yourself, is it?
