What can i make for lunch at work?

Asked by jqzp 4 months ago, 6 answers.

I really need help... I just got a new job... I get a 15 minute break, then a 30 minute lunch break.
my problem is I have no idea what to pack for lunch...
im trying to lose 35lbs, so I need something healthy... Im also a vegetarian.
So... I need a...

healthy snack for my 15 minute break ( I get starved and will binge during lunch if I dont eat something...)
...and I also need healthy ideas for my 30 minute lunch break (something portable...preferrably something I can make at home, and eat in my car. lol)

any ideas are greatly appreciated!! I really need to lose this weight... lol ty!

Boy, I could not eat those things, Guys!

I would definitely start out with garden salads on a daily basis using Vinegar and Oil dressings. Tomato, Lettuce, Green Onion, Cucumber, Dill Pickles and Cilantro. A dash of salt and a dash of pepper. That is the main lunch. For a snack, I would take a peach because they taste good and are pretty filling..Or a banana, some cherries, or a fruit salad mixture of bananas, cherries, bananas and pineapples. For a drink, I would take non-sweetened tea, or water. NO SUGAR NO STARCH

The salads and fruits are what I would go for, and try those spray on dressings, they're pretty good, and practically no cal.
Also, to stave off hunger, a quarter cup of some kind of nuts, like almonds or walnuts, great with your salad.

For Your Snack Try:
-fruit (apple, strawberries, orange, banana etc.)
-granola bar
-yogurt
-nuts (ex peanuts or cashews, or you can buy mixed nuts, unsalted would be healthier)
-carrot and celery sticks
Try dipping fruit or veggies in peanut butter, it's really good!

For Your Lunch:
Try to stick with 1 main meal item, 1 veggie, 1 fruit, and 1 snack item

Some meal items are: sandwich, veggie terriyaki, chicken salad, soup, or tortillas
Some veggie ideas are: baby carrots, sliced cucumbers, sliced peppers, sliced tomatos or cherry tomatos
Some fruits are: apple, orange, raspberries, strawberries, cut-up watermelon, grapes
Some snacks items are: granola bar, yogurt, a couple cookies, pudding, crackers and cheese
Don't forget to drink LOTS of water!! Use a stainless steel water bottle!! Good Luck!
