I was deported in 1994 to mexico and I returned to the united states in 1996. I had a duaghter in 1997 and I recently got married to the mother of my child what are the chances of getting a residence?this question is for my stepdad? also what steps...

should he take in order to obtain the residencial cards or papers

actually youre right he is illegal but I dont know he feels insecure he thinks that if he speaks to a lawyer he will be deported even though he didnt do anything wrong

He's in the same boat as everyone esle. If he goes through normal channels, he has a small chance of getting one of the lottery placements, otherwise he'll be waiting for 10-15 years.

He really should talk to an immigration lawyer to get the process started.

cant you just wait in line for citizen ship .. its unfair for people to come here illigallyfor the people who wait their turn. and also the us isnt the only country in the world. if everyone comes here there wont be enough room
