What are the basic make up items you need ?

Mom let me start wearing make up and I dont know what to buy is it foundation or what...

I use foundation, then powder, and then it's good to use a light eye shadow right under your eye brows, then dark eye shadow on your eye lid. Eye liner, maskara, bronzer or blush.. then lip gloss

if you have to do your makeup quick (like me) then you only need eyeliner eye shadow and maybe mascara

ok if you are a teen you DO NOT need foundation because your skin is still ok. you need mostly eyeliner, lip gloss,eye shadow, mascara, andblush and especialy brushes!!! good luck!!

You're obviously a preteen/teen since you mention your mom. DO NOT OVERDO IT! The ugliest thing in the world is a teen that wears a truckload of foundation, blush, bronzer, eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow, lip liner, lipstick, the works. Looks like a little girl got into her Mommy's makeup bag.

Don't even THINK about foundation! If you want nice skin later on in your life, don't use any foundation! Maybe a little mineral powder foundation is okay, but only a little. And wash thoroughly. Make sure to cleanse your face with cleanser (I like St. Ives Apricot Scrub), and moisturize (neutrogena is good).

You can use a little pencil eyeliner on your top lid (very inexpensive...which is good for a teen, N.Y.C. (New York Color) sells different colors of eyeliner pencils. Wet and Wild also sells a lot of different colors. They're usually 99 cents at most drugstores. Target and Rite Aid have them.

Add a touch of black mascara (if you eyes are brown or hazel) or brown mascara if your eyes are green, blue or gray.

Use a little lip gloss (I LOVE Wet and Wild MegaSlicks lip gloss in Cherry Glaze) and you're done!
