Asked by candacec13 8 months ago, 2 answers.

How do you make a boxer dog gain weight? I have one and he eats right but he is so thin you almost see every bone. What should I do?

How old is your Boxer and has he been to the Vet? If your dog has no worms and health issues are ruled out. Here is what I tell people that buy my Boxers.

I am guessing your Boxer is about 6 mos. or so? How old is your Boxer?

Boxers go through a lean stage, they are a high energy dog. They carry very little fat and are all muscle. Your Boxer needs lots of play and excerise. He also needs to be on a Puppy Chow until 2 years of age. This is because Boxers grow so fast and develope fast and need what the Puppy Chow provides. Develope your dogs muscle and as long as your Boxer is healthy don't worry about the skinny stage, he will grow out of it.

They American Boxer is a leaner breed than the UK and German style Boxer.

ASK YOUR VET. I've had 3 Boxers, but I'm not qualified to answer your question properly.
