Eat because if you dont, you can die. I hate to say that but its true. you could end up being really sick if you continue to mentally think your going to get fat when you eat. Its psychological and eating isnt a bad thing. Food isnt the enemy. Just make good choices. you can start by cutting out some red meats/soda/junk food. Eat healthy m-f and make sat and sun your cheat days. Also, exercise 3-4 times a week whether its walking or the gym or the treadmill or swimming...your body will get stronger and so will your bones. you know food feeds the brain and we need to eat right in order to survive and function. Being skinny isnt what you should b thinking about. Being healthy is. Funmail me if you like. But eat and enjoy your food. Remember that your doing this because you have to and retaining a healthy weight is much more vital to your body in the future.

How can I Lose 1 pound of body weight per week?

One pound of body fat is equal to about 3500 calories. So to lose 1 pound of weight per week, you need to eat 500 calories/day LESS than you burn.

But it's not a good idea to lose weight simply by cutting calories. As well as decreasing calories you should increase your daily physical exercise. This helps to burn calories and build more lean tissue which in turn burns more calories.

What should a minimum calorie intake be?

As a guide to minimum calorie intake, the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) recommends that calorie levels never drop below 1200 calories per day for women or 1800 calories per day for men. Even these calorie levels are quite low.

Also, it your boyfriend is still that 39 year old, I'd be less concerned with his opinion and more concerned with what is deemed healthy for you. You have to live the rest of your life based upon the choices YOU are making now. Make them healthy ones.

who cares about being skinny. as long as you are healthy you need to just chill with the diet stuff. if your boyfriend can't except you at your natural weight whether thats skeleton like or larger...then he doesn't need to be your boyfriend.

anyways.. if you can't keep food down I suggest you see a doctor because that is extremely unhealthy. not only will you ruin your stomach lining and vocal cords from throwing up, the acids from your stomach will destroy your teeth. if you have problems with body image, see a psychologist. I highly advise you to see a doctor to not only subside the throwing up but get you to a healthy weight.
