Feeding a stray dog people vitamins?

I found a stray dog, well he found me( he followed me home) he has been here for a week and he loves house food, now he won't eat or drink anything, my aunt says I could give him people 's vitamins. here on this site it says not to, I contacted my vet...

and she said it wouldn't hurt him but to contact poison control. im confused.

Well, I'm sure she told you to contact poison control, to MAKE sure that human vitamins wouldn't hurt him...but why give those, when doggie vitamins are cheaper??

Because he is a stray, you might want to take him to the vet and get him a health check...he may be wormy, or have other parasites like cocydia or giardia that has his guts hurting...

Anytime a dog won't take ANY water, I'd take them to the vet.

they need diffrent vitamins than people. take him to a vet. to get checked out and tell them they he wotn eat or drink

Ditto on the Vet. Check. Is the dog foaming at the mouth or anything?? I would for sure get it checked out. The people vits. shouldn't hurt him if you gave him like one a day and should have already passed through his system.

A stray taken in should always be Vet checked for your safety and his.

just to make sure give him dog vitamins just 2 make sure go get the dog a check up by the way cause you dont want it 2 die or 4 you 2 get hurt
