Viewing vs. funeral attire

Me, Jay, and Cassie at Halloween Asked by cant_buy_me_love 3 months ago, 4 answers.

Today is my grandfather's viewing and tomorrow is his funeral. I know during the funeral, the family wears mostly black, but what does the family wear during a viewing? Is it less casual or the same as a funeral?

It's usually the same, also black or grey.

Just remember that it's never compulsory for you to wear black. Some people feel that black is too depressing and that they'll rather *celebrate* the fact that the person had a good life by wearing something brighter.
