Maybe it is because of the issues you already have with ED's Lizzy.
I can see why they would be concerned after seeing you go through all that self harm and that you are now telling them that you want to become vegetarian.
I strongly suspect that your reason for this is directly linked to your ED.
Perhaps if you were to use a degree of empathy, the sense of putting yourself in their place and seeing the situation through their eyes you would understand their concern more.
Also, try to reassure them that this desire is not connected.

I know how you feel... My grandma keeps trying to make me eat meat.
Well, what I do is make my own dinner. They can't make you eat meat. It's just not fair!
But that might not work. So you should really ask for their support, because it's really rude not to give support on being a vegetarian. You can still get all the protein and nutrients from vegetarian foods, like beans and other stuff.
Some health practitioners consider vegetarianism carried to extremes to be an eating disorder itself. The term orthorexic has been coined to describe someone who instead of being obsessed with the amount of food they eat is obsessed with only eating pure foods. This is not an official diagnosis but some practitioners believe it exists. On a similar note I've read of some people with anorexia who become vegan so they can avoid most fattening foods. I'm not saying you are in either category but that might be what they fear.
I became a vegetarian when I was 19. My parents also thought it was a phase but 27 year later I remain a vegetarian. My dad still to this day teases me about it and every time we eat he offers me meat. I have caught him when he didn't know I was within earshot bragging about my healthy diet though. Some parents are funny that way.
I became a vegetarian for health reasons myself. I like the taste of meat, fish, and foul but I don't think they are good for you.
It sounds like your parents are worried about your nutrition. If you can find a way to assure them that you will eat well as a vegetarian than that migh reduce their resistance. If you parents believe you have to eat meat to be healthy there are a number of good books that point out that eaitng meat heavy diets greatly increase many chronic disseases, cancer, and heart disease.
In any case, good luck!

Convince my parents that i'm seroius about becoming a vegetarian
I dont understand why my parents wont support me in my decision to be a vegetarian. They always try to make me eat meat and say that 'when is this phase going to end?'
its not a phase, I have not decided to be veggie for ethical reasons just for the...
fact that I dont like the taste or texture or meat.
so basically my question is, how can I convince my parents this is not a phase and its what I want, so they should respect my choice?
