use power point presentations or put it into a play form with actors and stuff or dress up and sing or just do really creative stuff!
If I were you I would use PowerPoint, it allows you to be really creative.
I had a US history professor come to class once dressed as Ben Franklin and hold a press conference where we were the press and asked him any relevant questions about his life and that era of US history.
Maybe something along that line but a little tighter format, unless you really know the information well.
Good Luck!!
This is about the Opium Wars, isn't it? I get the impression that you want the presentation to be interactive. PowerPoint is good - lots of moving images (but don't overdo it or everyone just gets seasick). Maybe you could do something like dividing the class in half and telling them that one half now represents the population of China, and the other half represents Britian and its army/opium traders. (Wow, I hope I'm getting my history right - correct me if I'm wrong.) Now you basically have half the class on one side and half the class hating them and being on the other side. As you tell the story, tell it as if it was happening to the people you're looking at, and try to get them involved (even cheering, booing etc if you think your teacher could handle that).
look up the cool details and decorate it with stuff that has to do with that project.
