What do you think about Universal Healthcare idea?

Government Run - that says it all for me - the ultimate in contradictory terms, Government Run = Successful - also, look out pocketbook, the tax hammer falleth, IMHO.

Bad idea. Something needs to be done, but as amblessed said, the way government runs it'd layer on too many extra costs that had nothing to do with paying the doctor's salary who actually gave you the treatment you needed.

Well, the Health care cost in this country are ridiculous. And don't believe that this is all as a result of malpractice suits.

The drug companies are not trying to find cures, but are trying to make big money. Other countries have managed to find cheap easy ways to keep all of its citizens healthy without making them go bankrupt. In this country, if anything gets done, unfortunately, it has to come from the government. The system is already in place that could work with minimal effort, but unfortunately the greed (corporate/partisan/individual) of most Americans gets in the way. A universal health care system would be one of the most beneficial things to the majority of the population, as a whole, but some would have you believe that this would cost too much. It would actually cost less per year than 1 month of the Iraq war.
