The legality of stripping

I'm bringin' sexy back.... Asked by darkangel85 about 1 year ago, 3 answers.

I am so bad at web searches and I'm in a debate with someone about when stripping was illegal and when it became legal. Does anyone know of any good websites that would have that info for me?

It's been legal for most of human history. It's only in the last century that western civilization decided to criminalize activities such as stripping, prostitution, drug usage, and other victimless crimes. We used to be more sensible.
