What gives someone the "baby doll" title?

What gives someone thte baby doll title, like Gemma Ward?
Is it the slanty eyes or her petiteness? I've been googling it for a while, and I've got nothing.

the fact that she looks like a porcelain doll. it's her eyes, her nose, her cheeckbones, her jaw, the shape of her head..it's just the way she is. often imitated, never duplicated.

I just generally thought it just meant a girl who has doll-like features, fair skin, perfect hair... basically, someone who looks like a dolly, all cute and (I guess) flawless.

But then again, who wants to be a baby doll? It implies you're childlike, plastic/fake, and have nothing but air in your head! (Teeheehee!)

I don't know who that is, but usually it's a little charm they have about them.
