The age old question... why do teens shop hollister

Why do teens shop at hollister, abercrombie, aeropostal, and wear sperrys and lacoste shoes
Im 13
And I wear alll that jazz
But im wondering why some of you think kids shop there
I see 9 yr olds wearing aeropostal
If you ask me abercrombie is...

overpriced
And hollister is better then anything
American eagle is number two
But still why do kids shop there

honestly, hottopic is overpriced too. I saw a hoodie for $45 there...

...its stupid. listen, dont think im dissin the people that wear that crap. I just cant stand it. thats just my personal opinion and I really dont know why kids shop there. but hey, whatever you like, wear it, right? finding YOUR style. im all for that...you just wouldnt catch me dead in there lol

I don't like overpriced clothes just because it has a name on it.

Kids shop there because they think they should.

I shop there because they have cute clothes and because my parents do have the money to buy it. I think American Eagle and Aeropostale is overworn. Where I live we only have American Eagle and Aeropostale, not Hollister and Abercrombie and Fitch. Like if you buy something, chances are 5 other people will have the same things. That is why I shop at Hollister, Abercrombie. I also shop at Guess, FCUK, BEBE, Lululemon, Lacoste and Lux Butik (local clothing store with clothing from LA, Montreal, Europe etc).

HOT TOPIC is my favorite store to shop at. Love the style, it's so fun and colorful. It's unique because lots of kids can have the same shirt or what not but they can mix and match with so many others clothes, it's frickin sweet. And it's all about music :]. and music rocks and is a way to expresss yourself and show who you are and what your into. I don't really think haveing a bird or a moose on your shirt is very expressive... it's like saying, I like birds, and moose? lol.

I think kids shop there because they think that it's what people want them to wear. It's safe to wear because almost EVERYONE wears all the same stuff, from Hollister, Abercrombie, American Eagle. I think kids just want to fit in because it's safe, but really they should be original and wear what they want, not what others think they should. Sure wear it if you like it though, theres nothing wrong with that if you like the clothes! Just because something is more expensive and popular, doesn't mean it's worth wearing though.

people shop at stores like abercrombie and american eagle because its the cool thing to do. It`s excpected if your into the whole preppy scene. Though I don`t know why. All of those kinds of sores sell the same kind of clothing; boring t-shirts that have the brand written in huge letters across it, short skirts, shorts, and skinny jeans. There has been a change in some of these stores wher they`re starting to incorporate new things. Such as tank tops with actual patterns, flannel shirts. But they still stick with the same look; flirty,girly and cute. Frankly, boring. All of these stores sell a slight variety on the same clothing. Hollister and Abercrombie are even owned by the same company. Yet people still feel the inexcplicable need to be cool and fit in and the age of people doing this has gone down because they take notice of what the older kids are wearing. The older kids took notice of what the older kids back then were wearing. I`ve neveer been in Hot Topic but I`m looking at the site now and it`s basically an emo punk type store so I will not say anymore on the matter seeing as I detest that type of clothing;no offence, and will get way too carried away. Even though I already have. The point is Aberrombie, Hollister, American Eagle are basically the same stores with different prices. If you dont really care about what you wear and if it reflects yourself than by all means shop at these androgenous stores. Though, if you care about clothing and fashion, I reccomend looking at designers who really know what they`re doing, the ones that start the trends and dont follow them. Of course im not saying go out and buy thousand dollar jeans but get inspired by it. If you have a budget, try stores like urban outfitters, joe fresh for essentials and HM. If you dont have a budget, look at free people, aritzia, Kitoson LA(they have some of the best dresses). ALso look around a vintage clothing stores. You can always find amazing things there. I once found and amazing marcjacobs blazer and Dior hat for cheap! So even if those kids wear those things, set an xample and wear something of your own style.

Because they think its preppy and cool, but its not. All the people that where the same clothes and go to the same stores are boreing and have no style. Ralph lauren, burberry,chanel,newyork and company, forever 21, banana republic. etc. IS preppy. I just dont get people...
