Will teeth whitening make them too white?

Hey guys! =)
Im planning to get my teeth whitened at the end of August when I come back from my vacation in Florence! The only thing is, everyone is telling me that my teeth are already really white, and that If I get them whitened they will look too...

white and fake.
Is this true?
I've seen people that get them whitened and they look great! Not unnatural at all.
Any advice, or people that have gotten them professionally whitened (preferably by Zoom2), let me know how your teeth look!

I haven't had mine professionally whitened, but I would ask your dentist about it. He/she might have specific pictures or examples of the procedure's effects. We can't act as doctors

I am a dentist who does a lot of whitening (please be cynical of this) and so i know a lot about the subject.

In answering your question...Nope!. Tooth whitening can only whiten teeth to a natural level. If you see a celebrity who's teeth are WHITE they are porcelain veneers! No matter how much you whiten they will always look natural due to variations within your tooth structure.

If your teeth are already 'white' then please do not expect too much of a change, remember you can only stay within natural limits.

Regarding Zoom2: The laser whitening systems are NOT the best way to whiten teeth. They work by a 1 hour treatment which dries your teeth out so they look whiter, the result does not last long at all. If you want the best result then please consider home whitening. The dentist will supply you with close fitting whitening trays, you wear these for 2-8 hour stints with whitening gel inside and they do the trick...the beauty is that YOU decide how whtie you want your teeth to go (usually a lot more than zoom can deliver), and you have your trays at the end so that you can maintain your new look.
