Teddy (dog) question

No name dog Asked by jsparrowlvr about 1 year ago, 3 answers.

I have a six month old Teddy whom I would like to crate train in a timely fashion. I want to buy the appropriate sized kennel/crate and do not want to upsize when he's an adult if I don't have to (I'm hoping he's almost full grown). My question has two...

parts... At what age is a Teddy full sized and what size crate do I buy?

Those are both questions you can ask an associate at the pet store! It will be much easier if you bring the dog in to some store like PETCO or PETSMART.

Well...he's probably as tall as he's going to get, and by 8 or 10 months he'll be almost as filled out as he's going to get...Small dogs finish out way sooner than big dogs.

You'll want a crate that's big enough for him to stand up, turn around and stretch out in, comfortabley...Take him with you to Petco or PetSmart and try them out...you won't have to upgrade now that he's almost fully grown.

Thank you! It's nice to know that he won't be getting much bigger. He's so little and cute =) I'll be making a trip to PetSmart real soon.
