How can I tan in the sun without burning?

I have really light skin and I want to tan. But I usually just burn. What is a way I could tan without using spray tanner or sunless lotions? Is there someway that would help me tan in the sun without burning?

You pretty much HAVE to use tanning oil if you don't want to burn. Use some with some SPF in it and re-apply it regularly every 30 minutes. It will help you get more tan.
