Is there anything to make your hair grow faster?

I'm 14 and im not losing my hair or anything, but Is there any food, drink, or technique on how to make you're hair grow longer faster? School starts in like a week and I have a specific hairstyle I want which requires long hair. My hair is about an inch past my shoulders. I would use pills but my mom thinks it's a waste of money... Help?

I second that.. I was always wondering if there was any kind of professional shampoo you could use for that.. I really hope so..
