Stripping black hair colour out

my hair is naturally blond and I have been dying it black for the last year, my roots grow out really quickly and I can't afford to keep dying it! is there a quick and easy way to get rid of the black so I can go a light brown shade?

Was it permanent dye? Or semi-permanent? If it was semi permanenet keep washing it untill it bascilly gets washed out or is still slightly there, than re-dye it with the light brown shade you want.

If permanent do the same thign because sometimes the dye will wash out, but if not the hair dresser can strip your haircolor out, it may damage your hair though. You can also try bleaching it than dying it that shade you want :]

its permanent but I keep washing it and nothing is happening except really obvious blond/white roots!

how much is it to have it stripped at hair dressers?

It's a long process. My hair is only Medium brown naturally, and it was a pain in the a*s to get all the black out. Get maxi blonde (by clairol). You can get it at the drug store, and look for the maxi blonde that you can use for black hair. It does put A LOT of stress on your hair however, so I'd wait ATLEAST, another month before doing anything else (dying wise) to it. It's just as good, if not better then stripper that you can usually pay a lot more money for. Even more if you get it done at the salon.

Mine came out dark brown haha..I waited a month and did it again, and it became orangey brown.

I loved having black hair, the upkeep was just getting to me.

hi I was in the same situation as you r right now! naturally blonde but dyed it jet black and regretted it! had it black for about a year and like you couldn't afford 2 keep dying it so went 2 a really good hairdressers and had the black stripped 2 a light brown I love it! if you really want it stripped you should (2 help the stylist) dye the roots ONLY not your whole hair will cost you less in the longrun. please please please don't try 2 strip it yourself my friend did and it went totally wrong her hair is now a mix of awful colours lol. hope this answers your question good luck!!!

You Could Just Let The Dye Grow Out I Would Not Recommend Stripping Your Hair Cause It Will Really Detroy Your Hair But If Your Hair Is Quite Long And You Do Not Mind It Being Cut Then Go For Stripping But If You Have Not Got Long Hair Just Let The Colour Grow Out Then Dye It The Colour You Want It Im A Proffesional Hair Dresser And Thats What I Recommend Thanks
