I have really curly hair too. When I was little I used to have a little bit of an afro... it is so embarrassing sometimes because if there's just the right amount of moisture in the air it still happens. One thing you could try to make it a little less noticeable, you could wear your hair in a pony-tail, or, right when you get out of a shower or swimming-pool or bathtub, while your hair's still wet, brush it out, put it in a pony-tail and then twist it into a bun, this helps with my hair to remove the frizz but you must be careful not to try to take it out of the bun while it is still very wet because then, it will get even frizzier than before... also, try not to brush it too much after this process because the frizz may get worse... on the other hand it may not but I wouldn't take my chances...
There are no home remedies for this. Only chemical processes you need to leave to the professionals.
Buy your own flat iron. That is the best solution. They are less than $20.00. Ask your mom how you can earn the money to get your own.
You can also learn to blow dry it straight. Get a flat vent brush with a metal base or a paddle brush. Start with your hair towel dried, but still quite damp. Pick hair up from roots with the brush and pull it as tight as you can and put the nozzle of the blow dryer an inch or two from the hair. Brush it in long, taut, downward motion keeping the blowdryer on it from root to end. Read up on how to do a blow out online. Use baby oil (my personal fave) to smooth out the frizzies when you are done if you can't use a flat iron.
BTW, it's kinda mean your mom won't let you use her flat iron.
Well, you say you have 'dead' or in other words, damaged hair. you should definitely get your hair trimmed first, then go to the nearest drugstore or walmart, and they have cheap flat irons.
buy yourself your own flat iron.

Can I straighten my hair with home products?

I have curly frizzy dead hair and I was wondering how I get it naturally straight with the things I have at home? My mom doesn't want me to use her flat iron so I really want natural straight hair!!! Is there like a recipe for that?
