Stone weight measurement?

i love skating Asked by sk8ersocal about 1 year ago, 2 answers.

I have seen a lot of questions on here about users saying they want to lose 2-stone or I weigh 7 stone.

What exactly is it? Can someone explain?

The stone is a unit of weight in the 'Imperial system' which is used in the British Isles. It is equal to 14 pounds, which is equivalent to about 6.35 kilograms (a unit of mass, not weight.)
And eight stone is called a hundredweight.
Hope this helped.
Good Luck!!

One stone is the same as 14 lbs.

We use it here in the UK more often than we use lbs. Well, I do anyway!
