I'm practically in the same situation. 10th grade, kinda shy, not a lot of confidence... I'm blessed enough to have friends there though. But tell her to just give it a shot. Say hi to whoever she has to sit next to or something. I think once I get used to a place, it's easier for me to get used to the people and start talking to them. Maybe it's the same for her. Even if she doesn't reach out, don't worry, she will make friends soon just because there are always those nice kids who want to welcome you to the school. lol. She just has to be herself and know that it's not her problem or concern if people don't like or accept her for who she is. Hope she makes some new friends! :]
