Does this spotting mean I'm pregnant?

I have been on the pill for almost a year now and have never experienced spotting until now. I am supposed to get my period on Satruday, but I am worried that this spotting could mean that I am pregnant. Is spotting a common sign that you could be pregnant? What should I do?

Sometimes, spotting can be a sign of implantation. This means that yes, sometimes when people become pregnant they will spot. However, it is just as normal for periods to sometimes be irregular. It could just be here early, and starting light. There's really no way to tell unless you wait a bit (until Saturday has passed) and take a pregnancy test!
