Speeding fine! :(

mee Asked by intense 5 months ago, 7 answers.

I got a speeding fine and once I pay it I'm going to have lost my drivers license as I didn't have much points left. I had 3 left, and this fine is for 4 of them! sad I'm so stupid, I know. If I say that someone else other than me was driving (if I can...

find such an angel to take my points lol) is that a crime at all...like fraud???

My mom went to traffic school and the lady said, when you get a ticket, always try to fight it because most of the time the cop doesn't even want to show up and you win.
Try fighting it.

Yes, it is fraud. It would also be perjury because you would have to lie under oath in court. You could end up getting into serious trouble plus accruing a criminal record that is more serious than your driving infraction.

I was caught by a speed camera, not a cop pulling me over...the fine they sent me includes a photo of my car sad I think I'll just have to pay it, I'm too scared of police to try anything shifty lol.

I don't know how it is over there, but in my country you have to be pulled over by a cop to loose points. Because a picture of your car speeding is not proof of you driving. But I have no clue how other countries handle that rule...

It would be a Lie...wrong...yes a crime - how did the officer that gave you the speeding ticket not see 'You' in the drivers seat ?

do you ever read amblessed? or is there a special filter? You'd be surprised at the things you find out... she said she got caught by a speed camera, I.e. there was no cop.

Do you have people who deal with tickets? Like lawyers who you pay like $60 to and they'll deal with it? Or is there an option of traffic school? Look at those options before just paying it (of course make sure you pick an option before the deadline)
