put him in a situation that he HAS to talk his way out of (party, club, etc.) if he fails, he learns

well you really cant make a person change who they are they have to want to change and the only think you can do is help them but you can try taking him out with you and your friends and take him somewere far so you know he wont be able to come home and tell everyone to talk to him and be friendly!!
