how popular is slot car racing, I helped a friend set up a slot car track at the mall and was wondering if any one has ever done a large scale slot car racing

Hi,

I've actually never heard of it, but just looked it up. And it's miniature car racing, correct? Like model cars?

Looking at the article I found online, it seems to be popular in the midwest US. I'm guessing that's why I haven't heard of it...I'm in Miami, FL.
