What's up with how skaters are dressing?

how comes skaters used to wear baggy jeans and lose fitting tops, now they wear drain pipes half way down their bum y?
I prefered it when it was ok to wear baggy clothes but now thay all hate you if you do

Well..I don't know about that..But I do that that the baggy pants can be a drag while skating. And fashion does change..I mean skinny jeans are kinda big now.
But, then again, everyone has their own choice of style and preference.
I'm sure there are still skaters that prefer the baggy clothes.

When I started skating in the early nineties big pants (like ridiculously big) was the thing, and it stayed popular in part because of hip hop getting big at the same time skating did. But now a lot of skaters, esp on the west coast, are going back to the punk rock look, and the california kids are the ones in the magazines that set the trends. It's just like anything, long hair/short hair, whatever, fads go back and forth, and I'm sure baggy jeans will come back. In fact on the east coast lots of skaters still wear baggy jeans and I still rock baggy jeans. I think tight clothes looks wack on most guys.and unless you are actually in a rock band, the rocker look just makes you look like a dirtball with no job. And it's uncomfrtable, esp in winter when you need to bundle up the extra room is good.

I know. I agree wiht tendai. who gives a damn what skaters wear. if you have a problem wiht it your not going to change anything. we will wear what ever we want to.

I dont think there shud be a look for skating
I prefer baggy jeans and stuff too but yeah baggy jeans are incredibly annoying to skate in
I hate how there is a way to look skater or skater style or sh*t like that
wear watever is comfortable to skate in and dont bother buying expensive brand named clothes just because they make you look cool
id skateboard in anything from a tank top, to bootcut jeans, to a hoodie on a cold day to sweatpants.
most skaters are just posers nowadays anyways..
