You should choose your own friends..just make sure you choose wisely..positive influence, not negative.

no. your parents should not choose your friends. If your parents happen not to like your friend sit down and talk with them. but your friends are up to you. I would also pick carfully. like the person said about.

crap. noo. my parents think that by choosing my friends its a better life for me but if you really think about it, all it does is make your life WAYY WAYY worse. parents are pretty much there to do anything to ruin our lives. just keep standing up for yourself and hopefully your parents will get off crack and realize that you have the freedom to chose who you want as your friends. (:

if you are under the age of 18, and it sounds like you are, you are the responsibility of your parents. if you have demonstrated that you can choose responsible people to hang around, then they probably don't have any reason to pick your friends for you. but, if you're hanging around a bunch of worthless punks, then by all means your parents have every right to look out for your best interest.
