Should how we came to be taught in school?

anarchist Asked by anarchistforlife about 1 year ago, 2 answers.

This is already happenning but I think it is counterproductive to education. No theory or believe to be truth should be taught to kids how we came to be. Science is not just about one scientists perception but a open field of discovery. To promote a open...

thinking type of scientist I think all how we came to be theries or truth ones must not be taught.
Right now evolution and creationism is being taught this will not help someone to be better scientist but limit his progress to ideas and creativity already indoctrinated to accept evolution or creation avoids a free thought science but a forced perception that you have to accept these. Again I dont think how we came to be is a good way for someone be introduced into science but must be taught how to observe and do research and testing. These two dogmas evolution and creation need to be in a library not in a class room. This is my opinion heres my questions

Why should how we came to be needs to be taught?
Arent we for freedom of speech and thought I think when you teach one you are saying the state says this one is right and you have to accept

Should it be taught?

Whats the point of this?

Doesnt this question not just relate to evolution but to everything taught in school?

I believe that it is taught because it is so widely accepted as the truth. Which in my opinion is probably correct.

Freedom of speech says you can disagree with it all you like, so I dont see the issue there.

I think this should be taught. It is not simply a religion or beliefs, it actually has a a lot of proof that this is the most likely way of being the truth if that makes sense.

Well I dont see why someones beliefs on how things came to be has any bearing on becoming a scientist or a researcher and just claiming something is true doesnt make it true. Third just because its believed to be the truth the government should not promote one belief system over another but should just teach on how to do science not how to accept someones research but on how to research for themselves the answers of discovery.
