I think you'll know by the clothes becoming too tight, etc.
no she is pregnant but she dont want to start shoping for the baby yet when should she?
Maybe she should wait and see what she gets from baby showers... those usually happen in about month 7 or 8 then she can see what she needs.
You can never be too prepared for a baby. If she has a little extra money, even ten dollars a week, maybe she could peruse a few thrift stores or garage sales.
if she knows the sex of the baby, then I dont think its ever to early 2 start
She can buy a whole bunch of clothing, but chances are the baby will only use them for a month before needing new clothes, simply because babies grow very fast. But, as soon as she knows what the sex of the baby will be (the doctor can tell her when she has her ultrasound), she can start buying clothes. Even if she decides that she does not want to know until it is born, she can still buy things in neutral or 'masculine' colors, like yellow, green, blue, red, white, ect.
I agree its never to early to start shopping, but she shouldnt buy like a lot of the same size like newborn, because they dont stay that small LONG.. and I also suggest that she buys at least one premie, because my sister didnt when she had her baby and for like 2 wks thats what she had to wear, and also she should take a premie and a newborn size to the hospitol to bring the baby home in because, you never know!!!
I started as soon as I found out. but also tell her not to go crazy. they grow sooo fast. my son didnt even were half of his clothes.
a good idea might be to start taking her extra money now and purchasing gift cards for herself to use as needed once the baby is born. its fun to run out and buy the cutest baby stuff you can find but like the previous posts said, lots of stuff may end up wasted. once the baby is born, money goes so quick and gift cards really come in handy if she needed medicine or somthing for the baby.
uh yea its almost 4 moths and it will be up before ya know oh and tell her congrats on it!!!
Well I understand Us superstitious folk wont start until after the 5th month at least but safely the 6th month. But I agree I live in a nice area and the resale shops around here have a very nice selection, not to mention both of my kids only stayed in there 0-3month clothes 0-3 months or less. some no use at all.

When should my friend start shopping for her baby?
