DONT PEEL IT! You can hurt a snake that way! Make sure he has a big enough water dish so he can soak his entire body in if he wants, that will help loosen the shed up. Also id put a branch or rock in the tank for him to rub against. He sheds should get easier in time, but this dosen't always happen. If you have a petco or other pet store by you go and get some Repti Shedding aid, its made by zoo med, or they have other types but thats what I use for my 4 snakes. Spray it on the shed and let it soak it. Then about twice monthly after that, it help make the shedding process a bit easier. Good luck!

Shedding corn snake.
ok so my newish corn snake is shedding for the second time since I've had it and he has been trying to shed his dead skin off for about a week now and has only got it off about an inch past his head and there are pieces of dead skin just hanging there...
kinda so my question is should I help him get the dead skin off by holding him and pealing it off or do I just let him get it off on his own eventually. by the way I don't know if this helps or not but he is only a couple months old and is maybe a foot and a half long.
