Don't get taught enough sex education these days?

hair (: Asked by serjimmy 7 months ago, 7 answers.

Do you get annoyed at the fact that we don't get taught enough sex education these days? In my S.E class where im meant to learn about bits and bobs and the facts about sex and periods and stuff only lets us doodle and talk and do whatever we want. I...

have had to ask about sex to my own mother (when I was a little younger, im 15 now), and learn from the Sex education show.

It's unbelievable how girls ask about periods and shaving these days as you should all get taught about it! Education these days are slowly deteriorating as the days go by.

Do you agree? I find it really irritating! D:

I think we don't get enough sex ed either. we had ours last yr and all we had were some giggles and stupid demonstrations on how NOT to have sex, and what to do if your partner pressures you into it. thats a need to know thing but we need to know what to do if we DO have sex, and what could happen if we do. Also, they pick on the clearly immature students to talk to the class about it and we had a story about how a boy needed a vasectomy and thought they were gonna chop off his man lolly. one person believed that story?!?!?!?! the vasectomy part was ok but come on! that was a pretty worthless story. anyway. MORE SEX!!! oh and ED!!!

It's true, we don't get taught enough about this.

It makes it awkward for us girls when we're going through this and need help - we're not the ones that can start going out to buy razors/pads and stuff!

Um... no. Your wrong. Schools should teach the basics on sex. What it is.. what happens.. the diseases and the laws of it. And yes I believe girls and guys should have a few separte sessions to learn about there specific bodies and what happens. But what the heck... learning how to shave down there? In sex ed? Uhhh.. NOOO!! That makes you assume they will have sex! ya let me teach you about shaving so you feel better when you have sex... no no no. Thats not a need and SCHOOLS don't need to teach that. Sex ed is about helping kids stay safe. Not about making them feel more comfortable about sex.

NO.
schools do not teach enough sex education
sed education is one of the most important things that most kids and teenagers lack
which is why they need to ask so many questions about it
and why they end up pregnant or with an sti/stds
because they dont know the consequences of what there doing
and dont know all the things they can use to help prevent them

It SHOULD be the parents responsibility, but the schools should also have it and it should be proper.

Around here we don't have a sex ed class. We have a speaker (usually a nurse or therapist come) and have a week per year for it at schools. Very very useful.

It's mostly about hygiene, not trying to impress a guy in bed.

You also have to shave before wearing bikinis.

I agree, shaving shouldn't be part of sex education.

The focus should be more on STD's and birth control.
