Secret shame??

Secret shame... what does it mean to you???

Something you did or something happened that you wish didn't and you'd die if anyone found out...

It means you did something your ashamed of and can't tell a soul, so you kept it a secret and you think about it all the time because you can't get it out.

Something you are ashamed of but you keep that shame hidden and act like everything is okay.

Secret Shame is an unhealthy burden that we sometimes don't even realize we are carrying. It effects us mentally and internally without us even being aware that it is, and it can effect us for years if we allow it to. The way to deal with secret shame is to expose it to light and remove the power it has over us. It takes strength, courage we sometimes don't realize we have to bring it out of the dark place it hides in. We somehow get it in our heads we would die if anyone found out and I'm such a horrible person. The truth is no, no you won't die, and I am not a horrible person. The thing that stops you from telling the truth, fear. Sometimes it takes telling someone we don't know well to get the courage to talk to those we love with all our hearts. The people who truly love us do not stop loving us because of anything we share with them.
