this is excatly like me
and believe me its not as bad as it seems
your with people your own ability remember
so you wont be amazingly smart
just for your age
congrats
and stop worrying because you will be with everyone else in the position and meet some cool people
just think of all that fun you will have with your new friends
Be yourself and if anybody asks or makes a big deal of it, say 'Hey ! everybody gets lucky now and then' - smile and go on your way...I wish you the best and Hey ! Congratulations !!
I'm usually that girl too. But people envy me. Lol. Don't feel bad if people think you're the 'freaky smart girl.' Try to act like it doesn't bother you, and they probably won't say anything again because they're usually trying to bother you. And believe me: people do/will envy you!! Congratulations though!!! I hope all goes well.
Just don't let it go to your head. Conceited freaky-smart people are no fun. Friendly, fun, same-as-us freaky-smart people are great friends. Your friends may tease you a little about it - just let 'em, smile and say 'must be the genes (jeans)' or something fun, and don't let it bother you. After a while your friends will see you as the same great friend you've always been. Work hard and have fun! (and be thankful)

Will I be labeled as the "freaky smart girl" at my new school?
I'm starting secondary school in 2 weeks and I couldn't wait. I did my entrance exam in May and I thought I did grand...
Then I got the Newsletter in May and I found out that they were holding Scholarship exams in June. I wanted to give it a go - you could get 100% of your fees, 75% and 25% - so I just did it for the craic, you know?
When I got the practise sheets to do at home, the work was really hard - 3rd year level! (4 grades higher than me!
I studied every night, and I sometimes got upset, thinking of giving up...
My Mum told me not to, and it didn't matter at all if I didn't do well, I had made the choice to do it - so I did!
I went in on the day, did the exam, and all went ok.
So anyway, one day I was coming out the gates of my present school and my Mum was waiting outside. The other girls who had entered the exam too just happened to be beside me when my Mum ran up to me and said 'You wont believe it!'
I thought the cat had died or something uz I live just around the corner and I always walk home alone!! lol
She told me that I had recieved the only 100% Scholarship to my secondary school.
I didn't believe her at first, then I started kinda - freaking out!
I felt kinda bad 4 the other girls, but the I found out that they got the only two 25% scholarships too!
It was great, because I never considered myself smart and I got praise for it and I felt good.
But now, I'm so close to starting the new school year and I'm scared I'll get a label as 'the freaky smart girl'
How can I stop this from happening?? HELP!!!
