How do I get people to let me photograph their feet?

we are doing a project where we talk about feet and toe care and feet pampering practices we were asked by the professor to take photos of well cared for feet and toes and explain the differences we saw in feet that were not cared for. my problem is how do I ask people to let me photograph there feet without seeming weird. I man feet as a project in its self is strange but we were told we are in collage so it should be easy help

What class is this for? If it's for anything other than podiatry (foot doctor) or beauty school (pedicures), there is no reason for an assignment like this.

If it is for a class like that, then people will understand why you need to see their feet! If you are going to care for feet in your career, it's important to see good and bad feed. Just make sure to clearly let the people know WHY you need the pictures.

this is a class of debate thats why I feel odd we are supposed to show our ability to talk and convince people to our side so to really test us the professor told us to convince people to show there feet on camera

I'd just ask VERY politely and completely explain why you need the pictures.

Don't take a failing grade, that's just foolish. Take pictures of your friends feet if you're uncomfortable asking strangers.
