School backpack

Hey guys...
I have just been to a Chiropractors beacuse I've had a few back problems, he told me I needed to use a backpack instead of a shoulder bag and my mum is being really strict that I always use a backpack now. I was wondering if any of you can...

think up an I idea to let me use a shoulder bag again. And I;ve gone through all the 'But every one else uses them' etc. And I no I no, I should be looking after my back but I really dont want to carry on using a backpack!!

But... if you cant think of any ideas to persuade my parents, do any of you know any shops that sell backpacks that are kind of slouched and not box-like? Oh and by the way I live in the UK

I can understand the reason for your mother being concerned. When I was still in school, I used a shoulder bag too. It caused me to always have back problems so I agree with your mom very much. Backpacks are a much better choice because they provide equal balance to your back... rather than weighing down one side like a shoulder bag.

the 'just do it ' back packs are really nice :P its what all the 'cool' kids have Lol

Agreed with the above. There's really no point in fighting this, and in 5 years when your spine isn't curved, you'll be glad your mother made you take care of yourself. You'll have your spine for the next 70+ years. You'll only be hanging around people who give a crap what you carry your books in for another 5.

Just get a cool back pack, trust me shoulder packs can do damage

ok I will get a backpack!! but where do I get nice ones that arent to rigid like the roxy and animal ones???

Personally, I like the NES controller backpack, but that's just me...

I think you should accept the fact that you have to have a backpack, for health reasons, but don't worry. You can buy really funky ones from roxy and quiksilver and animal and some other places. Its your choice: fashion or health
