Yes, you should apply. There are thousands of scholarships out there that are never applied for each year. Also check the fraternal organizations around in the area where you live, like the Masons, Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge , BPOE, Some of the medical doctors offer scholarships, also banks, hospitals, factories. Someone is always willing to help pay your way thru school. You can tell your dad that your grades are good enough to get a scholarship and when you get one, that will be money he won't have to fork over. Good Luck to you and keep the faith!

Is applying to scholarships a waste of my time?
Send me Fun Mail
My dad thinks I'm wasting my time trying to apply for scholarships and I feel like hes calling me dumb in general. Anyways my marks are decent and I participate in school sports like volleyball, basketball, rugby, and track plus I work part time if that counts for anything. Is there anyways for me to even be considered for a scholarship my marks are as followed:
Calm 99%
Math 81%
Gym 89%
Bio 79%
Soical 84%
These are my grade 11 marks for my 1st term and my other courses that are not included are very similar to the marks above I pretty much sit at a 81% average or forin the states I think its a 3.0 gpa. Anyways do you think I should even apply or should I listen to my dad and not?
