Why don't i look as thin as the scale says i should?

Thunder Robot Asked by funadvice over 2 years ago, 8 answers.

basically..everyone tells me when I tell them my weight that its really low
but then I see girls who weigh like 110lbs and look much much thinner and bony than me.
Why is my weight on the scales low but I dont look this weight?
If people guessed my...

weight I bet they would think its like 10lbs more than it actually is.
Argh...do you have this problem?
sad

10 lbs really isn't substantial at all.

Thats why I don't go by scales - I go by how I look. I really don't care how much I weigh, as long as I look good - alright.

I was 110 in high school ... my how I wish I weighed that now (then again... I probably wouldn't have boobs if I weighed that )

People usually say I weigh less than I really do. You might actually want to consider putting on weight if people think you look too thin. Don't be unhealthy. That's the key. Find the weight that is comfortable for you and is healthy in relation to your heigth.

People seem to view themselves differently than others view them. A lot of people see someone bigger in the mirror than is actually true. And on the flip side, some people view themselves smaller in the mirror than they actually are. It's all in your perception, and what you actually want to see.
