Sago palm needing repotting?

Asked by segarmike 5 months ago, 1 answer.

I have what was once a great Sago Palm potted in a medium/large pot.
The pal lives indoors in the northeast US and had helthy green foliage until recently when it started to turn all brown and brittle and has littl green left// I do not overwater and keep it completely dry between waterings and it is housed in a bright but not direct sun spot.
Does this plant need to be re-potted?? help if you know what to do.

Hi,

Hopefully this will help;

Sago palms need water and fertilizer. Normally they should be treated as a cactus and only watered when they are nearly dry. They may be watered weekly. The fertilizer is normally applied in spring and late summer. If the plant has yellow and old leaves is because of much water or fertilizer.

If leavesturn yellow or brown, they must be removed from the plant. If the plant has insects, it can be used insecticide soap. Be careful, because the use of insecticide in combination with heat and direct sun can burn leaves.

The plant has to be treated or spraying in the morning or in the coolest part of the day.
