Runaway? or home abbandonment?

Asked by lorenaa 4 months ago, 4 answers.

My mom and me where fighting one night and she got fed up and told me to leave, to go somewhere were somebody else would be willing to put up with me. I had been waiting to hear that, so I was happy and took off. Next day I went for all my stuff and left...

to a friends house. Later on like 2 days later the sheriff of the police department called me to tell me that my mom wanted to file a missing report on me. I told him that it didnt make sense cause in a way she kind of kicked me out. He talked to my probation officer and my officer told him not to file the report because I wasnt missing, my trackers and him knew where I was staying. So the sheriff didnt file the report. Now im hearing from people that my mom is looking for me to lock me up or something like that till im 18 and wants to put the people im staying with in jail for helping me out. Im 16 well practically almost 17. Is this possible??

When a parent says that to you it dont mean to run away and yell mom kicked me out.And unless you get amancipted your mom can legally do what she wishes with you til you are 18.And can legally have the ones your with arrested for hideing you out.Or in her eyes possible kidnapping.

If the cops have already contacted you and your probation officer knows where you are there is no way she can get you put away without having some evidence or claim that you've broken a law. The same goes for the people you're staying with.

Why are you on probation? Not saying the situation is all your fault, but just maybe, are you giving your Mom a lot of crap to deal with?

You have to do something illegal for them to put you in juvie...they can't just put you there because she wants you to go there, they'll tell her to take care of her kid..I'm not saying she couldnt have them scare you, but seriously...no.
