Right format for photo

how can I get my photo into one of the right formats? it's saved on a document, but I don't know how to get the correct format in the address.

You'll need to save it *out* of the document, by itself...eg, is it in a word doc? Then, copy the image, and then paste it into a photo editing program.

All I do is open the pictures thingy and search for them and the you just click on it and the click for a caption and then it should work.
