If we both have an amount of money and I say to you: Will you give me $1 so we can have the same amount. YOU say No why dont you give me $1 so I can have twice as much as you.
how much money do we both have to start with?

6 isn't twice 2, but if I have $6 and you have $2, I still have twice what you have. I just happen to also have an extra $2
