Returning items on ebay

Shianne Asked by aperfectcircle 6 months ago, 3 answers.

Do you need the original papers that came with the item(for me it's a camera)
to return it back on ebay?

I think they may have been thrown out..

Remember that you aren't always buying something from eBay. It's individual sellers like you and me. I, actually, sold on eBay for several years, though it's been quite a while, I know the basics.

You have to read the sellers auction for that item (the camera). Every seller has their own terms for returning something. *You should always read the sellers terms before bidding or buying.

If you can find the sellers phone number, you could call them or you can email them.

eBay doesn't have anything to do with a sellers terms of sell, as far as what they ask of the buyer when returning something they won.

So, just go to the auction (you can use the item # to get there or look on your auction for items you have won) and read the sellers terms and go from there.

If you have any problems, you can contact eBay.

'cecipalace', Oh, I see what you are saying. You're right.

'aperfectcircle':
I thought you were referring to ebay papers of some kind, but I see that you are referring to the actual papers that came with the camera, such as a warranty card, a manual or users guide.

Yes, of course you need to have those, but maybe you can explain to the seller about what happened and it's possible that they may understand. Of course, they may not.

You'll have to try and work something out with them, but try not to let the whole thing get into a heated debate. If you feel yourself getting mad (for any reason), just take some time (maybe a day) and cool off. Always look at things from the other persons point of view, in any situation.

I apologize for misunderstanding your question.
