How much does religion matter in a relationship with your future fiancee/ or current boyfriend?

See the thing is that me and my boyfriend plan to be together for ever bc we love each other!
(duh, lol) and well im a completly different religion than...

he is..he's catholic and im sumthing else..my mom dislikes him and doesnt want me to b with him bc he's catholic..she wants me to find someone in my religion...my dad doesnt care..as long as he's a good man..does it really matter if we're two completely different religions?

Pleez help meh.

If you truly love eachother then nothing should stop you - and I think the longer you two are together the more both of your families will understand and accept it. Good luck happy

It won't matter unless you have kids. At that point, the differing religions will probably cause conflict, unless neither of you are devout.

Well as long as it dosent bother either of you then don't worry. I agree with toadaly though cause if you have kids then it needs to be dissussed about what you will teach them.

Marriage is a sacred covenant between two people, or it is supposed to be. Those two people become one, or they are supposed to. And when agreement is not present.. strife usually is.

The challange is to live lives that compliment each other, edify the other partner, and all of the little foxes that steal the grapes.. have to be dealt with inbetween.

The honeymoon period does not last forever, so, you must be prepared to work thru preplexing issues, if you want your marriage to succeed.
