I dont think that is true,I think she is just saying that. If you really want to get a tatoo(and when you are old enough for one!) you have to think about what your getting. It's your body! not hers! And really... if 'god' decided to change his mind one day and say that bad things like rape and murder are right then would you rape and murder because god said it is right? If you really want a tattoo, then go for it. its YOUR body and it's not like you're gonna be struck down or anything. Tattoos are common these days but remember... you'll have hat tatoo for life so plan carefully on what you want!
Tell me what you choose!
People decorate temples don't they?
There is a passage in Leviticus that forbids tattoos. Some would argue that in context this was specific to the people and culture of the time since then tattoos were associated with Pagan rituals. There are lots of things forbidden in Leviticus that modern Christians happily ignore only to focus on specific passages to reinforce their own views.
doesnt matter I you believe it or not,the bible says it,its Gods word, not yours, but if you wanna rebell against God do it,but I wont follow
lol.
well, lots of Christians these days are fat right?
does that mean that they are taking care of their temples already?
nope, they really arent. letting yourself go is not taking care of your temple. (just an example).
really, it doesnt matter. we decorate our temples with clothes already. is it wrong to wear clothes?
hair gel? makeup? jewelry? is it wrong? is it not the same as a tattoo?
you can say its not like a tattoo, but the bottom line is that its the same thing. we are simply decorating our bodies to what we think looks better. a tattoo could basically be just simply a piece of clothing you wear permanenlty, if you think of it that way.
a decoration you dont have to take off when you shower.
I've challenged this thought before to my church.

Religion and tattoos
It says in the bible that you cant get tattoos because your body is the temple of the holy spirit. Who believes this is true?
